About the Job:
A Personal Banking Specialist I (PBS-I) delivers exceptional, personalized service while efficiently conducting front-line customer transactions with a positive and helpful attitude. You will identify ways to meet customer needs by building relationships and asking meaningful questions. This position requires you to be individually motivated to work as a team including assisting team members and the branch to promote a positive, energetic work environment.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Effectively and efficiently process deposits, withdrawals, and other cash handling duties
- Balance cash drawer daily
- Answer customer inquiries regarding products and services and fulfill basic servicing requests
- Educate customers on consumer products, technology, and digital solutions such as mobile, online, and ATM offerings
- Remain aware of potentially fraudulent activity and communicate activity to supervisor, as appropriate
- Order customer checks
- Process stop payments
- Process official checks
- Provide bank statement printouts
- Create currency transaction reports
- File documents, as applicable
- Receive loan applications from customers
- Assist in processing wires
- Recognize cross-training and cross-selling opportunities
- Ensure safe banking practices including adherence to Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable laws and regulations
- Operate in accordance with all bank policies and procedures
- Perform miscellaneous duties, as assigned
- Must maintain confidentiality of client transactions and bank records
- Refer customers to upper management when more complex needs are recognized

Education And/or Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One year of customer service experience
- One year of cash handing experience preferred
- One year of banking experience preferred
- Knowledge of banking laws and regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act preferred
